I went "Home" today!

Today I went "Home"!

Now that may seem like a mundane statement to most of you. But is was significant to me.

I had to take Brenda to work this morning up in Salt Lake so I decided to visit the Adventure - Draper for their early service.

One of the Pastors greeted me with the "Welcome Home" statement.

I had to chuckle because that is exactly what it feels like when I visit there.

I started my Christian walk long before The Adventure came to be. I was part of many churches before then but, for now The Adventure feels most like home.

If you have moved away from your parents home and gone back to visit you will understand. Providing your home life was a nurturing, caring one.

While, doctrinally speaking, I grew up elsewhere the Adventure is where I learned how God really can will, and desires to use me for His kingdom.

That is such a monumental thing for this ex-mormon with no self esteem to understand. I just didn't think it could be true.

Much to my amazement I found it not only true, but a fundamental part of God's plan for us.

Needless to say I owe a big debt of gratitude to Eric and Jodi for being faithful to bring that message to me. And the rest of the Draper area.

Unfortunately, I also realize when I visit The Adventure they have turned my bedroom into a sewing room. While I enjoy hanging out with people I love so much I no longer live there.

Part of knowing God can and will use you is leaving the comfortable and heading out to be used. Yes I know many are called to serve there in Draper. I have never been so lucky. It seems my lot is in the little things.

Small churches and church plants and missions is the place God seems to use me the most.

Thanks so much for the "home cooked meal" today. Awesome worship time and a great message from God's word was just what I needed.

A couple of "God appointments" to round out the morning and then off to Springville!

I truly am blessed!.
