men's group
Well we have started a men's group at our house for men in the area. We are not trying to gain members for our church plant. I just miss having regular fellowship with other Christian men where we can deal with guy stuff.
I had been a part of a men's group in Eagle Mountain for 5 years that ranged from 2 guys to 20 guys on any given week. There were men from 6 - 7 churches that would show up on a frequent basis.
I realize that much of the growing I have done over the past 5 years was fruit from this fellowship.
Most of the time, on Sunday mornings, I was in ministry mode. Caring about the needs of others, arranging schedules, greeters, communion, and whatever else Sunday morning service entailed.
Don't get me wrong. Sunday mornings are awesome. But at some point, we all need to be the one partaking freely and receiving from the Lord. It is easy to fall into a rut, caring for the needs of others, busy doing God's work, forgetting that we need to hang out at His feet for awhile ourselves.
Men of God don't let your week get away without spending time being Mary, letting His grace fill you, for you.
